In This Blog I hope to show you my progression of Astronomy.
Just a Catch up of my sight seeing from May 07 to now Jan 08 is the following views.
1. July 07, I saw a great view of Saturn coming from behind the Moon, it may not sound to much but it was a great view to see the two planets together.
2.September 07, The Andromeda Galaxy M31 one of the brightest deep sky objects Also Jupiter and 5 of its many moons.
3. One of the best thing I have seen up to yet is while viewing the Moon a satellite pasted right over the face of it, I was like a kid watching a Star wars Film.
4.The New year was spent in Mid Wales and the night sky was fantastic, The sight of the Milky way was just mind blowing, they say for every grain of sand on the planet there are a million stars, I think I saw them all !!I must add for my reference also that I had my first attempt on the CCD Camera without any joy but have to also say there was no Moon out to practice on ?
I began scoping in May 07, slowly seeing the bigger picture as to what it was all about. My first thoughts were ''So you look at the Moon, Then what ?''However I now see that the stars and solar system are the very building blocks of life, opening your eyes to the fact that everything that we are all came from a star, the ground we walk on the Gold we drape from us and even the calcium in our body, all came from a star. The grip that this hobby or way of life can have on you is never ending and over a period of time I hope to show my progression from '' so you look at the moon, then what ?'' to Wow, look what I saw''
